Taco Bell in Denmark will become a reality with the opening of the American fast-food chain’s first restaurant in Copenhagen. The company is already recruiting employees and says it intends to expand across the country through 2027, although it has not announced when the first location will open.
Taco Bell starts recruiting in Copenhagen
The plans emerged from a job advertisement published by TB Group Scandinavia, which is looking for employees for kitchen and customer service positions at a new restaurant in central Copenhagen.
The listing says that Taco Bell is entering the Danish market with an initial establishment in the capital. It describes the Copenhagen restaurant as the starting point for a wider expansion across Denmark through 2027.
The vacancy is based in the 1560 Copenhagen postal district, which covers part of the city centre. However, the advertisement does not provide the restaurant’s precise address or an expected opening date.
Taco Bell plans a wider Danish expansion
The opening was first reported by TV 2 Kosmopol, citing the recruitment notice and the Danish news agency Ritzau.
Taco Bell serves Mexican-inspired fast food, including tacos, burritos and quesadillas. The chain’s international division currently operates more than 1,100 restaurants in 31 countries outside the USA, according to the company’s international careers website.
Its European business, known as Taco Bell ONEUROPE, has more than 250 restaurants and aims to increase that number to more than 500 over the next five years. The Danish launch therefore forms part of a broader expansion of the brand in Europe.
For now, the recruitment campaign provides the clearest confirmation of Taco Bell’s arrival in Denmark. Further details about the Copenhagen location, its opening date and the company’s subsequent Danish restaurants have yet to be announced.
